Rich
Slow
If you approach your job with a lackluster attitude, you will rise to a mere journeyman level. Instead, if you take a winning attitude, you will have broader responsibilities. This corresponds to what the NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers) calls Engineer V and Engineer VI, respectively. In the federal government, these designations would be GS12 and GS13. In both cases, the salary difference is about $10,000 per year [reference].
